Dr. Jonathan Quartey
Chair, WCPT Africa Region
Dr. Jonathan Quartey is Chair of the WCPT Africa Region, and is the Department Head of Physiotherapy, School of Biomedical and Allied Health Sciences, College of Health Sciences, University of Ghana. His expertise is in physiotherapy education and musculoskeletal (sports and orthopaedics) physiotherapy.
He has served and continues to serve on Boards and Committees of University of Ghana and has attended and presented at a number of international scientific and continuing education programmes including the two previous WCPT Congresses. Jonathan has reviewed abstracts for domestic and international conferences/congresses including the 2015 and 2017 WCPT Congresses held in Singapore and Cape Town respectively. Jonathan also served on the International Scientific Committee (ISC) of the WCPT 2015 and 2017 Congresses and is a Member of WCPT’s Membership Committee
He was the team physiotherapist for the Ghana under-20 men’s national football team (Satellites) and currently team physiotherapist for the Black Stars B team of Ghana.
